Athletics

Today was athletics day for the school, the Hillary boys started with vortex throw this morning. Everyone had a throw and got points for their house even if they didn't try. I got 2 or 3 points for throwing the ball thing but I'm not really sure if it is a ball or not. The second event for us was the 100m sprint. I think I placed 2nd equal with Mika in room 20 but Caleb in room 19 beat us both by a bit but it didn't matter because it wasn't the championships. We had a rest for our third part in the cycle so we did nothing for half an hour. For our fourth event we did high jump and I only passed 1.2 meters but Tyler passed 1.39 meters. Our 5th event was long jump but i didn't even know it was our actual jump so I did bad. Our second to last event was discus, my score was 13 meters and something. Our last event was the 200m sprints and I came first in my race against the other people.

Halloween story thing

The day of halloween happened with all the decorations, lights, pumpkins and all of the things you would put up on halloween. All around the neighbourhood there are lights, skeletons, decorated houses and free candy. Everyone’s preparing for the swarm of kids coming around to raid their candy.
Kids love free candy from strangers in the neighbourhood because that’s a thing. People come in, ask for lollies, leave and repeat the cycle until they’ve been to all the houses in the area. There are kids running down the street in costumes with their candy baskets filled with lollies, sugar and more sugar. It’s all a surprise to see what they get when they ask.
It’s time for the kids to raid the candy from every house in the area. There are kids dressed up as anything you can think of. Zombies, mummies, ghosts or whatever they want to wear to halloween. Candy is being given out to the kids like it’s some sort of halloween charity and it kind of is. It’s been going for a long time and kids are still outside for candy.

After a couple hours, none of the people in the houses have much candy left to give out anymore. The kids have all gone back to their houses, the lights are turned off, decorations are down. It’s quiet now in the neighbourhood and barely anyone is on the street. The only people on the street are the people that are taking decorations down. The night is over now.
